A Message from the Vice President - Thoughts on Partnership
By Dr. Juan C. González
The Division of Student Affairs is dedicated to the belief that students will graduate from Georgetown University as well rounded individuals based on the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis, Latin for “care of the whole person.” It is the division’s desire to help students move on from Georgetown with integrity and a sense of caring, with a commitment to making proper moral and ethical decisions, and with a lifetime commitment to service and leadership. We in Student Affairs believe we can help our students achieve these high standards by working in close partnership with other university efforts. We see ourselves as fostering and contributing to the creation of a total learning environment: a learning atmosphere inside as well as outside the classroom.
