“Hello Hoyas!” New Student Orientation Series

Vice President Daugherty and Student Affairs cultivated an inaugural series of orientation events “on the road”, called ‘Hello Hoyas!’, bringing the orientation experience for new students and their families closer to home and in advance of their move to the hilltop. 

The series is designed to welcome admitted students and their families and supporters, and is hosted by Hoya families and/or alumni local to the area. 

The purpose of the series is to welcome these students and families to our community, provide a casual and informative gathering to orient students and their families & supporters to life at Georgetown, and connect them with current students, staff, and families who may already be their neighbors.

The series took place in the following areas:

•  Atlanta, GA on June 25th at 6 pm EDT

• Springfield, NJ on June 30th at 1 pm EDT
• Washington, DC on July 5th at 1 pm EDT
• Ft Lauderdale, FL on July 10th at 6:30 pm EDT
• Chicago, IL on July 28th at 11 am CST
